This post basically is going to throw out some funny thoughts that came to my mind seeing the election results. Now that the DMK have won what kind of impacts would one see if the actually did everything they said in their election manifestos.

Pratically for all purpose the poor people should be getting rice at Rs.2 a kilo right from the day DMK forms the govt. Well, is this goin to happen? "Thatha" would definitely say that its going to take them some time to get the prices down and then he would reason out that the welfare schemes implemented by Amma has created a deficit of rice in the state treasury/storage whatever they call it.

I read that "Anna" sweeped DMK to victory in 1967 by promising 3 measures of rice for a Rupee. But the promise was never kept up. Hey but did'nt you all get it when Thatha said Rice@2Re for the "Poor" people. Yes.. "Poor people" that they believed him. As per "Amma's" scheme i.e offering 10kg of rice free and 10kg for Rs3.50 the cost effectively comes down to Rs.1.75. Wonder how these people came up with these prices? Some of the manifestos do not seem viable even if these guys were goin to use the money they have looted so far. However it's is most unfortunate that our Captain who was very generous to offer 15kg of free rice to the poor did not make a mark in the election. Finally, I guess that people of tamilnadu are basically out of options for a new leader unless the superstar enters politics. Its high time we people start considering people other than cinestars.

We have been so far giving the power to DMK or AIADMK alternately in every election so that we creat a break in their corruption scheme and so that they do atleast a few good things to get re-elected. But a better idea would be to elect just one party continueously ie DMK or AIADMK irrrespective of the amount of corruption. This would mean death the other party. Assuming we elect DMK everytime from now on the AIADMK would slowly die and the party seize to exist or have very little support from the people. Then we would be left with only one party i.e DMK to deal with. We can then kill them by supporting some other new party then. May be they too will be corrupt but would have the satisfaction of atlest destroying to major corrupt political parties.
