Yet another loss for India. Well its not a loss , I would rather say we lost it.With a test in the bag already our players never even showed the slightest intentions of winning the third test but rather win it by drawing the third one. Let us look at this match from a simple stand point. This is not the first time we were chasing such a big score.Infact wehave won a one-dayer against pakistan chasing a total of I think about 330 and odd. And we did it in 50 overs. Well one may argue that this was not possible on the 5 day of a test match , especially after seeing those cracks on the pitch. Well I agree with that but then today we had to do this feat in 90 overs and not 50. All that we needed to do was some solid and sensible batting.
Sewag who had weiled his bat through out the series ruined his final innings of the series. Getting run out in a test match is the stupidest thing u could ever do. There was never a single there. Well one may say the it was Ghambir's call.. but then Sewag was almost half way across the pitch when Ghabir called. With both the batsmen nearing their fiftes (Gambhir on 49 and Viru on 38) they should have played more with patience. Well this is where the Indians miss Jadeja. One guy who was always capable of rotating the strike and generating singles under all circumstances.
After the loss of Sewag our players never really made even the slightest attempt to win the match. They rather tried to play it even safer than before and miserably failing to do so. Our players showed a clear lack of confidence and let go of an easy win. Well this is what happens when u try to apply negative tatics . Having won a test already we should have rather tired to dominate the 3rd match ... but the Indians rather tried to win the series by drawing out the third match. The Pakistanis rather showed courage and ditermaination the win the match and the stars favoured the deserving team if not the better side. Infact we still have lost the test series though we might have drawn it technically.
Well my question here is if Kumble and Lakshman are being dropped from the side for the one dayseries then why not drop Ganguly. Ganguly's out of form and its been quite evident from the test series (hes made hardly 50 runs from 6 test innings). Well Lakshman has never been put into the right batting slot in the ondayers and has been put in positions which is not supposed to play. When the selection committe can classify these two players as test players why cant they classify Ganguly as a Oneday player (which is believable only when one looks at his past records). Ganguly's test performance has not been very good. He has been given enuf support and respect as a captain and for having won matches for India. But its high time we drop him from the Test side. We can't afford to keep losing matches and retain some one in the team just because he has been the captain. Infact we have trusted him enuf and given him much more chances in test matches than what he deserves. Its high time we adopt two different captains one for tests and another for onedays like Australia.
Well having said this the next question that pops up is will India win the one day series? Unlike most other crict fanatics having high hopes on our team , I am just hope hopen !!!

Well written.. but there a few places where I will disagree. The one abt Jadeja. He's always been one of India's best ODI players, but just was not cut out as top class Test Batsman. And that run out of Sehwag, was totally Gambhir's fault. As a non-striker, it's ur primary duty to take a start, thus making the run easier. It was Gambhir's fault, starting to run and then saying "No"....
